A group of Winnipeggers braved the cold Saturday to give back to families in need.
Dozens of volunteers came out to Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata in the North End for the centre's 14th annual Christmas hamper drive.
"It's a great feeling to be able to give back and share this with our community," said Roslyn Dally, one of the volunteers who came out Saturday.
Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata's Sharon Redsky said it was nice to see people step up to help the community.
"Christmas can be a really hard time for families, you know it's very expensive to buy gifts and have food," she said.
"Sometimes we can't always give lots of money but we can give time." "It feels really good to be amongst people who are making life a little bit better for other people."
