Armed robber strikes Charlottetown convenience store

RCMP dog unit unable to track down suspect
Charlottetown police are searching for a suspect in an armed robbery at a convenience store in the north west part of the city.
The robbery happened early Monday evening at the Super Nova Convenience Store on Beach Grove Rd, said police.
Police were told a man entered the store wielding a knife, and demanded money. He escaped with a quantity of cash before police arrived.
They cordoned off the area and called in an RCMP dog team, but were unable to find the suspect.
Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to contact police.
