Elderly man taken to hospital in serious but stable condition
A man believed to be in his 60s was taken to hospital Wednesday night following a fire at the Midfield Trailer Park.
Fire crews were called to the 900 block of 16th Avenue N.E. just after 6:30 p.m.
"Crews arrived on scene to find a mobile home with smoke pushing through every window casing in the unit," said Batt. Chief Stu Laird.
The man was able to get himself out of the trailer, Laird said, and was treated initially by fire fighters. Paramedics took over soon after and the man was taken to hospital in serious but stable condition.
Investigators are looking for a cause of the fire.
