Medals and costumes designed in Windsor region
Medals and costume designs for the up-coming FINA World Swimming Championships in Windsor were unveiled Tuesday at the Chumczuk Museum.
The red and black suits — to be warn by medal presenters — were created by Windsor fashion designer Franco Algeleri. The medals, also designed locally, heavily feature Windsor.
Meg Wilkinson won the medal design competition held by the organizing committee earlier this year. She then worked with the design team to come up with the final version.
The colour scheme of the costumes is a tribute to the RCMP, Mayor Drew Dilkens explained.
