Medicine Hat sexual assault suspect identified by police

Shawn Thomas Baldhead is wanted in connection with the incident
Medicine Hat police have identified the man wanted in relation to a sexual assault that took place on November 24.
Shawn Thomas Baldhead, of no fixed address, is wanted for sexual assault with a weapon, unlawful confinement, robbery, three counts of uttering threats to cause death and two breaches of undertaking before a justice.
It's alleged Baldhead approached a taxi parked in downtown Medicine Hat around 10 p.m. on Thursday night and asked the female driver for a ride to that city's Southview Drive area.
When they arrived, policed said the man stepped out of the cab briefly, then returned, attacked the driver and took control of the vehicle.
Police said he then drove the cab to the Riverside area, where he parked and sexually assaulted the victim.
On Friday, police said they believed Baldhead was in the Calgary area.
Police are also looking for a blue 2005 Dodge Caravan with company markings "Deluxe Taxi" and "Unit #41."
The vehicle had an Alberta licence plate: K 54924.
