The slaughter of three cows in rural central Alberta has prompted a police investigation.
The owner discovered the dead cows on Oct. 20, according to Consort RCMP. The suspect — or suspects — took "only the choice meats off of the animals," police said in a statement released Thursday.
The cows were discovered at a rural location near Veteran, which is 200 kilometres southeast of Red Deer.
Anyone with information is asked to call Consort RCMP at (403) 577-3001 or Crimestoppers 1-800-222-TIPS(8477).
