Calgary police want to talk to a person of interest relating to the death of a 58-year-old man in Bankview on Tuesday, which has been deemed a homicide.
Police are looking for Zachery Frederick Rider, 36, of no fixed address.
"This was not a random attack," Staff Sgt. Michael Cavilla told reporters at a news conference Thursday.
Police believe the victim knew his attacker.
The victim, Richard Pember of Calgary, was found in his apartment in the 1800 block of 17th Street S.W. Tuesday afternoon after his roommate alerted the fire department earlier in the day.
An autopsy on Wednesday confirmed the death was a homicide.
