Retail sales on P.E.I. bounced back in September, rejuvenating a trend that goes back to last year.
Statistics Canada reported seasonally-adjusted sales were $185,063,000 in September, the biggest month ever, and up almost $7 million over August.
The jump followed two months of falling sales, but the trend over the last year has been up.
From October 2015 to June 2016 the Island recorded nine consecutive months of sales growth. From October to September this year retail sales are up 6.7 per cent.
