Brackleyfarm Chelios Cheerio wins reserve grand champion for prize udder
A P.E.I.-bred cow has been awarded top honours at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto for her prize udder.
Brackleyfarm Chelios Cheerio, a five-year-old Holstein owned by Milksource LLC of Kaukauna, Wisconsin, took home the prize for best udder, and was named reserve grand champion in the show.
The cow was bred on Brackleyfarm, north of Charlottetown.
Brackleyfarm Chelios Cheerio has a long list of credits to her name, including supreme champion at the Minnesota State Fair, grand champion of the Midwest Fall National Holstein Show, and HM All-American Milking Yearling, 2012.
A number of other Island animals had a strong showing at the fair, noted a news release from the province.
