P.E.I. liquor stores offering 3 wines from annual autumn release
The world is celebrating the release of Beaujolais Nouveau Thursday, and P.E.I. is no exception.
Beaujolais Nouveau is a young French wine, released the third Thursday of every November. It is considered an early indicator of the quality of the year's vintage.
P.E.I. liquor stores are offering three wines.
- Momessin Beaujolais Nouveau.
- Georges Duboeuf Beaujolais Nouveau.
- Drouhin Beaujolais-Villages Nouveau.
Prices range from $17 to $20.
The production of Beaujolais Nouveau wines began as a tradition in France's Beaujolais region when local wine makers developed a quick maturing wine to enjoy with workers while celebrating the completion of the grape harvest.
