The CBC's Margaret Evans is in Aleppo, Syria, and provided a rare glimpse at the destruction in what's known as the old city.
The area was once filled with people and shops throughout the streets and alleyways. Now, it's mostly empty aside from piles of rubble among the devastated buildings. CBC News, accompanied by Syrian government representatives, filmed the deserted streets.
The government has tried to prevent more damage to the central area of Syria's largest city, but the core is still getting hit by bombs.
