Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for inland Vancouver Island(external link), which it says could cause flash flooding and water pooling on roads.
"A Pacific frontal system will bring heavy rain to the West Vancouver Island, Inland and North Vancouver Island regions once again for tonight and tomorrow," says the warning.
"The front will move inland late Sunday."
The region has already seen flood-inducing rainfall most of the week.
It says the ground is already near saturation because of the recent rainfall.
The River Forecast Centre is maintaining its flood warnings for the Campbell River, and Sproat and Somass rivers near Port Alberni(external link).
There is also a high streamflow advisory in effect for Central Vancouver Island and the Courtenay (Puntledge) rivers.
The Tseshaht First Nation near Port Alberni already had to evacuate several homes earlier this week because of flooding.
