Neighbour says house where man found dead had frequent suspicious visitors
A Forest Lawn resident says he long suspected there has been drug activity going on at the house where a man was found dead Friday morning.
Police were called to a bungalow in the 2400 block of 47th Street S.E. just before 5 a.m. for reports of possible gunfire.
When officers arrived, they found the body of man in his 20s inside a bungalow.
Area resident Bryan Gallinger says he thinks there was obvious drug dealing happening at this and other houses in the area, with people coming and going frequently.
"If you look outside your window, you can see it. It's all over the place," Gallinger said.
"I don't like it. I've had enough of my stuff stolen because of these druggies."
Police said witnesses reported seeing several men running from the home and leaving in a four-door sedan.
"We need to speak with eye witnesses to identify exactly how many, where did they go," said Duty Insp. Kelly Campbell.
"The same thing with the vehicle — we need to confirm what kind of vehicle it was, model, make, colour, etcetera."
Police cordoned off about half of the surrounding block as detectives interviewed neighbours.
