A group of 18-year-old friends from Dawson College wanted to share a little positivity following a contentious U.S. election campaign and victory for Donald Trump.
"Even though it's a small act, we're trying to come together and unite with love," said Emma McLaughlin.
They gathered at the corner of Ste-Catherine and Lambert Closse streets, right next to the Dawson campus, waving signs and offering free hugs to passersby.

"I was up all night watching the election results," said McLaughlin. "I now realize that it can't just be all driven by hate. And it's not just one side that possesses all the hate."
"We kind of blame Trump supporters and blame Trump. Really, right now is such an important time to come together and unite in love and stop this division that's come between us."
