56-year-old victim died in August after being hit by SUV backing out of driveway
A 70-year-old woman is facing two charges for running over and killing a pedestrian while backing out of her driveway in northwest Calgary in July.
Sharon Lynne Shwed, 70, is now facing one count each of careless driving and unsafe backing, police said Friday.
Shwed was backing her Honda CRV out of a driveway in the 100 block of Hawkwood Drive N.W. the morning of July 28 when she struck Adrien Gottli, a 56-year-old woman who was walking her dog.

Gottli spent more than a week in hospital after suffering a severe brain injury.
She died on Aug. 8 after being removed from life support.
Police said speed and alcohol are not considered factors.
Gottli walked her dog along the street regularly, her husband Laszlo Gottli said at the time. She had three children and six grandchildren.
"She was very fit. She exercised, taking the dog out two or three times a day," he said.
"She did yoga. She was a vegetarian and watched what she ate."
