Ron and Linda Fisher were married on July 23, 1988 in front of a crowd of fans
Many people in Regina have a fond memory from Taylor Field but for one couple, it involves their wedding day.
Ron and Linda Fisher spent that day in 1988 surrounded by their wedding guests, which included a packed stadium of Saskatchewan Roughriders and Edmonton Eskimo fans.
Their ceremony took place during halftime, which meant the ceremony had to be as concise as possible.
"It all worked out real well," said Ron.

The bride and groom dressed in white, accented, of course, by Rider green. The couple still holds fond memories from their day.
For Linda, every visit to Taylor Field conjures memories of her wedding.
"Whether it took place at a church, or Taylor Field, it was just my special day," she said. "Even going back, all these years, to Taylor Field has been like church"
Ron, a longtime fan and club volunteer, was well known to the 22,000 fans knew who he was.
"When it was Linda's turn to say, 'Do you take this man?' there was a good number of cheers, in jest, saying, 'Don't do it!'" said Ron.
One thing that stands out from their July wedding was the reception they received from the opposing team.
"I had grown up watching the Edmonton rivalry with Saskatchewan, and they weren't my favourites," said Ron. But after the game, as the newly married couple were leaving the stadium the entire Edmonton team lined up with their helmets off waving farewell.
"How can you not like these people? That was a genuine show of class," said Ron. However, he admits he still isn't fond of the team, though he does respect them.
