No arrests made yet in connection with shooting in Porter Creek, more than 2 weeks ago
Yukon RCMP's Major Crimes Unit has found the vehicle that may be linked to a fatal shooting in Whitehorse earlier this month — but still, no arrests have been made.
Matthew Devellano, 32, was shot the night of Oct. 7 outside a home on Stan McCowan Place, in the city's Porter Creek neighbourhood. He was taken to Whitehorse General Hospital but died as a result of his injuries.
Investigators had asked the public to keep an eye out for a dark-coloured minivan, possibly red or maroon, that was seen leaving the scene shortly after the shooting.
RCMP thanked the public for their help, but have said no more about the vehicle they found.
The homicide investigation in continuing.
