Strong winds present a challenge
A few dozen Islanders turned out to the Charlottetown Farm Centre to try their hands at kite making and flying Saturday.
The event was sponsored by Friends of the Farm, a group dedicated to the preservation of the Experimental Farm property.
Materials were on hand for making basic kites, and there were some elaborate kites on display.
With winds peaking in the 70s it was not ideal kite flying weather, but some intrepid kite-crafters did give it a try.
