Alcohol, speed believed to be factors

Police responded to Country Hills Boulevard at Métis Trail N.E. at about 12:30 a.m.
A Dodge Journey driven by a 28-year-old woman failed to stop at the intersection, striking a Kia Forte driven by a 43-year-old man.
The front passenger of the Kia was pronounced dead at the scene while the driver and two other passengers were left in serious condition, police said.
The Dodge driver was arrested but released after an investigation.
Police believe alcohol and speed may have been factors.
