'Vigorous' low pressure system forming, expected to cross Maritimes Friday and Saturday
Environment Canada has issued special weather statements, warning of potential heavy rain and localized flooding throughout the Island.
The weather will be caused by a "vigorous low pressure system," expected to cross the Maritimes on Friday and Saturday.
CBC News: Compass weather specialist Kevin "Boomer" Gallant says the system is coming off the Great Lakes, and is absorbing tropical moisture from a low to our south.
"It's going to be windy too, probably south east gusts — 70 km/h plus," he said.
