Two men arrested after officers find 33-year-old Sutton Raymond Bowers dead at Acadia apartment building
Calgary police say they've charged two men with manslaughter in the death of their roommate.
Officers were called to an apartment building in the 200 block of 90 Avenue S.E. around 10 a.m. on Sunday and, when they arrived, they found one man dead at the entrance of a home.
The victim has been identified as Sutton Raymond Bowers, 33, of Calgary.
Police said two Calgary men, who were the victim's roommates, were arrested at the scene and charged with manslaughter.
Insp. Don Coleman with the homicide unit said there had been some kind of ongoing dispute among the men but he couldn't say over what, exactly.
The manslaughter charges reflect the fact that investigators don't believe the men intended to kill Bowers.
"We believe that the incident occurred maybe late the evening prior and the roommates had left the residence, returned and had contacted the police at that time," Coleman said.
Both accused are set to appear in court on Tuesday.
An autopsy is also scheduled for Tuesday.
