Inquest called in 2010 death of inmate at Shepody Healing Centre

A inquest has been called into the death of an inmate at the Shepody Healing Centre in Dorchester in 2010.
Glen Edward Wareham, 28, of New Waterford, N.S., died on April 29, 2010. The Shepody Healing Centre is a Correctional Service of Canada facility for prisoners with mental health issues.
Chief coroner Gregory Forestell announced Monday that an inquest into Wareham's death will begin Oct. 17 at Crandall University in Moncton.
Two weeks have been set aside for the inquest.
Forestell will preside over the inquest and a jury will hear testimony from subpoenaed witnesses to determine the facts around Wareham's death.
The jury will be given the opportunity to make recommendations aimed at preventing deaths under similar circumstances in the future.
