Harassment charge against newspaper columnist Barb McKenna stayed

A criminal harassment charge against a columnist with a P.E.I. newspaper has been stayed.
Barb McKenna was charged in connection with repeatedly communicating with a person between Jan. 1, 2015 and June 27, 2016.
McKenna has agreed to have no contact with three people — two women and a man — and to stay away from an address in Covehead, P.E.I.
McKenna is a columnist with the Charlottetown Guardian, and worked with CBC P.E.I. from 1998 – 2008. She is also editor of The Advance in Liverpool, Nova Scotia.
