RCMP say the driver wasn't wearing a seat belt and do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash
A 17-year-old girl is dead after her car hit the ditch and rolled over in Headingley this morning.
Manitoba RCMP say the driver was travelling on the Trans-Canada Highway just east of Gaol Road when she hit the ditch around 4:45 this morning.
Police say she was thrown from the car and pronounced dead on the scene. Police don't believe the girl was wearing a seatbelt.
Alcohol doesn't appear to be a factor in the crash and the driver was the only occupant in the car.
An RCMP forensic collision reconstructionist was called to the scene and is working on the investigation.
