Fuel prices increase across Prince Edward Island

Regular gasoline up by 2.9 cents a litre
Islanders heading to the gas pumps Saturday morning may have noticed that it costs more to fill the tank compared to yesterday.
Regular unleaded gas up 2.9 cents
At 12:01 a.m. Saturday morning, gas prices on Prince Edward Island rose by 2.9 cents a litre.
The price of regular gasoline at self-serve outlets now ranges from 104.1 to 105.2 cents a litre, according to the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission, which announced the price increase Saturday.
Furnace oil, propane also increase
Also increasing are furnace and stove oil prices by 3.2 cents a litre and diesel by 3.1 cents a litre.
Propane provided by Superior Propane increased by one cent a litre and by 1.4 cents a litre provided by Irving Energy Distribution and Marketing. Propane provided by Kenmac Energy Inc. increased by 2.9 cents a litre.
The commission's next scheduled price adjustment is Oct. 15.
