Man driving SUV flown to hospital in Calgary after crash near High River
A woman was killed in a head-on collision south of Calgary on Highway 2 late Thursday night.
A northbound SUV collided with a southbound car shortly before midnight about six kilometres south of High River, RCMP say.
The woman driving the car was declared dead at the scene, and the 32-year-old man driving the SUV was taken to a Calgary hospital by STARS air ambulance.
The cause of the crash is being investigated.
Southbound traffic on Highway 2 was diverted to one of the northbound lanes for several hours, but all lanes have since been reopened.
