A man and a woman have been arrested in relation to the homicide of a 20-year-old man earlier this year.
Daverico Downey was found shot to death near Downey Road in North Preston, N.S., on April 23.
On Thursday, Nova Scotia RCMP arrested a 33-year-old woman around 9 a.m. and a 22-year-old man around 11 a.m. at separate homes in Dartmouth, according to a statement issued this afternoon.
Officers have 24 hours to lay charges, but spokesman Cpl. Dal Hutchinson would not say what, if any, are expected.
He would not elaborate on how the two are connected to Downey.

'Think about the family'

Police also seized a vehicle from the home where the woman was arrested, on Green Village Lane in Dartmouth, as the result of a search warrant.
Earlier this month, RCMP released details about vehicles believed to have been near the scene, in hopes of sparking tips. Downey's death is on the province's major unsolved crimes reward program.
Police still seek more information from the public, Hutchinson said.
"This young man did have a family. Think about the family and what they're going through," he said.
Until Thursday, RCMP would not confirm how Downey was killed, except to say he "appeared to have been shot" when officers found him last April after responding to reports of gunshots.
