Pedestrian hit by truck in southwest Calgary

Driver of the truck remained on the scene and police are investigating
A man is in hospital after being struck by a truck in southwest Calgary.
The pedestrian, believed to be in his 50s, was hit near Garrison Boulevard and Ypres Green S.W. at about 8 p.m. Friday.
He was taken to the Foothills hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries to his head and upper torso, said Emergency Medical Services in a press release.
The driver of the truck remained on the scene and police are investigating.
