Regina kids in the north and the south ends of the city will soon have new and improved playgrounds.
The city will close Caen Park in the Lakeview neighbourhood next week to get ready for construction of an upgraded play structure with slides and climbing sections.
Previously, the park had an old swing set.

There's also a new playground going into Bothwell Park in the Uplands neighbourhood on the north end of the city.
Bothwell Park is already closed to the public for deconstruction of its old playground.
Construction of the new playgrounds will start within the next couple of weeks.
The plan is for both parks to be open in early October. The city thinks the new parks will make for a better play experience for families.
