'It's no longer a rescue, it's a recovery'
After a fall early Wednesday morning at Hamilton's Devil's Punchbowl waterfall, a 38-year-old man has died.
A police press release later in the morning said they do not consider the death suspicious.
Firefighters say they got the call around 7:30 a.m. and sent eight units to the scene. EMS responded as well, and both raced to perform a rescue from the top of the waterfall.
"It's no longer a rescue, it's a recovery," Claudio Mostacci with the Hamilton Fire Department said.
He said at 7:47 a.m. that EMS confirmed the man had died.
