Police hope CCTV screencaps might help identify suspected arsonist
Calgary police have released more CCTV screencaps of a suspected arsonist involved in a Mount Pleasant fire in late August.
Fire crews were called to the 400 block of 30th Ave. N.W. at about 3:15 a.m. on Aug. 30.
The two-storey house under construction was a total loss, Calgary fire said at the time.
Police released CCTV images earlier this month showing a cyclist near a parking lot but said Tuesday they have since discovered additional images from a nearby convenience store.
The suspect, believed to be male, was wearing dark-coloured shorts, a grey and black backpack, a dark coloured hoodie and what appears to be a Chicago Bulls baseball cap.
Police are urging anyone with information to contact them at 1-403-266-1234 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
