Union set job action deadline for Sunday afternoon, no word on potential job action
Talks have apparently stalled between Saskatoon Transit workers and the City of Saskatoon.
In a tweet this morning, the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 615 wrote "As a result of the recent talks we do not have a tentative agreement, no scheduled talks."
Talks between the two sides were spurred after workers gave the city strike notice late Friday afternoon. The notice allowed workers to take job action as of 5 p.m. CST Sunday.

While the ATU and City had both said progress was made on Sunday, it apparently wasn't enough to continue discussions.
Jim Yakubowski, president of the transit union, said the intention wouldn't be to start with full removal of service.
In its notice to the city, the union said strike action could include anything from slowdowns to overtime bans, not wearing uniforms, rotating strikes or a complete work stoppage.
