Police say a 45-year-old Delburne man caused a collision that left a 32-year-old dead last month
A Delburne man has been charged with manslaughter after a fatal vehicle collision near Red Deer last month, RCMP said in a news release Friday night.
Police say a 32-year-old man driving a Dodge Dakota became stuck on a rural property late in the evening on Aug. 14.
He allegedly stole a Ford F-150 from the property and was chased by another man until the two vehicles collided near Highway 42 and Range Road 240, southwest of Delburne.
The 32-year-old was transported by STARS Air Ambulance to a Calgary hospital, where he died from his injuries.
After an investigation, police have charged a 45-year-old man with manslaughter. He is scheduled to appear in a Red Deer court on Oct. 14.
He was released from custody with conditions.
