Two women who were driving separate vehicles in a fatal collision in western Quebec Saturday morning have died.
According to the Sûreté du Québec, a woman was traveling westbound on Highway 50 near Grenville, Que., when at around 7 a.m. she veered into oncoming traffic and struck an eastbound vehicle.
The woman was taken to hospital and died of her injuries, police said.
The occupants of the other vehicle, a man and a woman, were seriously injured and were fighting for their lives.
Police now say the second woman, who had been driving the other vehicle, has since died of her injuries.
Highway 50 was closed in both directions between Scotch and Kilmar Roads Saturday morning while police investigate the crash.
Grenville, Que., is approximately 110 kilometres east of Ottawa.
