A 32-year-old Cornwall man was transported to a hospital in Halifax with non-life-threatening injuries after his motorcycle and a car collided on Capital Drive in Charlottetown Thursday morning.
The accident happened at about 6:15 a.m. when a 64-year-old woman was turning left into Robins Donuts, said Charlottetown Police Const. Ron Kennedy.
The woman was not injured, he said.
Kennedy said the accident is under investigation and it's too early to determine if charges will be laid.
Capital Drive, a main road for commuters entering the city, was closed to traffic for a few hours. It reopened shortly after 11 a.m.
"We apologize for the delays but want to make sure we're gathering as much evidence as we can and sometimes we have to inconvenience the public to do that," Kennedy said.
