Fruits and veggies are for sale at Heritage Park this weekend, an event that's an annual fundraiser for charity.
The Harvest Sale raises money for the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation, the Community Kitchen Program of Calgary, and the Heritage Park Society. All the produce on sale at the event is donated.
"We sell our produce for a little bit lower than you'd find it in the grocery store," said Revee Marshall, a spokeswoman Calgary Produce Marketing Association.
"For example, we have cases of peaches for $15, we have cases of melons for $5, we have 50 pounds of potatoes for $10. We have some amazing prices out here today."
This year there is more five more truckloads of produce than last year.
"A lot of producers or growers have had phenomenal crops this year," she said.
Shoppers still need to buy tickets into Heritage Park to attend the sale.
