UPEI Student Union provides one source for what's happening on campus
The UPEI Student Union has launched a new app where students can find everything they need to know about what's going on at the university.
The app brings together information that was previously scattered across different sites, says UPEI VP of student life Kaylee Jabbour. And it adds a buy and sell, lost and found, ride share, discussion forum, messaging and housing information.
The app can also be used to directly add events to your personal calendar.
"It's a really great tool for UPEI students to get on board with and connect with other people and all the different things we have to offer on campus," said Jabbour.
When you attend events you can scan a QR code for a draw to win a flight coupon. This also allows the school to keep track of which students are active participants in campus life.
The app was launched last week, and so far about 700 of the school's 4,300 students have signed up.
