RCMP investigating after calf killed in same area where a horse was shot dead last week
RCMP are investigating after a calf grazing in a pasture northeast of Calgary was shot.
Police said the black calf was killed sometime between Aug. 27 and Sept. 3 along Range Road 14-3 near the Town of Hanna, which is about 215 kilometres northeast of Calgary.
Last week, a horse nursing a foal was shot and killed on a ranch in the same area.
It's believed the eight-year-old broodmare was shot with a high-powered rifle from more than 350 metres away.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Hanna RCMP at 403-854-3393.
Any suspicious people or vehicles can be reported to the complaint line at 403-854-3391.
