Parking available at library and town hall
The Town of Stratford has launched a park and ride service for commuters on their way to work in Charlottetown.
Monthly transit pass holders can apply for one of 10 spaces, six at the library and four at the town hall.
"We have a number of things we're trying to accomplish, and one of them is to reduce our environmental footprint," said town CAO Robert Hughes.
"The more people use transit and the less that they use their own vehicles the lower the environmental footprint."
The park and rides should make it easier for people not on transit routes to use the bus, said Hughes.
A recent residents' survey showed people wanted improvements in the transit service.
