Canmore RCMP confirm a 38-year-old base jumper fell to his death near the mountain town west of Calgary on the weekend.
A group went up on Sunday morning for a jump from Grotto Mountain.
Shortly before 5 p.m. police were called after the man's body was discovered.
Police are still investigating but say the incident is not considered suspicious.
It's the second time this summer a base jumper has died in the area.
A 34-year-old man from Calgary, who was very experienced, was killed in early August.
Canmore RCMP are not releasing the person's name and say they will not give any other details.
