A dead raccoon found below a power line was the likely cause of a power outage in Charlottetown early Wednesday morning.
Charlottetown Police Services said they received a complaint about a loud noise in the area of Belvedere and Maple avenues shortly after midnight.
When police officers arrived on the scene, they discovered raccoons in the area including the dead raccoon directly below the power line.
