An 18-year-old man was taken to hospital in serious, but stable, condition after he fell 25 metres at Spencer Gorge late Monday night.
Hamilton firefighters responded to a call around 11:30 p.m. Monday about a person who'd been out walking with some friends and had fallen at Spencer Gorge/Webster's Falls in Dundas.
He was conscious when firefighters reached him, said Hamilton Fire Department's spokesman, Claudio Mostacci.
Firefighters had to do a full rope rescue to retrieve him from the gorge, Mostacci said. Fire crews were on scene until 2 a.m.
Hamilton paramedics transported the man in serious but stable condition. They did not disclose any other details about the man's injuries or his condition.
