RCMP remind people to wear seatbelts
Two young people are in hospital following a motor vehicle accident east of Charlottetown early Saturday morning.
The accident happened on Route 3 in the Millview area.
In a news release, RCMP said eyewitnesses told them the vehicle, driven by a 17-year-old boy, ran off the road while travelling east and struck a power pole. Both the driver and his passenger, a 17-year-old girl, were ejected from the vehicle.
RCMP said Monday morning both were still in hospital with serious injuries..
The RCMP are reminding people of the importance of wearing seatbelts.
