Summerside man faces drug, weapon charges after police search

35-year-old man was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday morning
A 35-year-old Summerside man was arrested Monday afternoon after police allegedly found drugs and prohibited weapons on him after a search.
A Summerside police officer saw the man, who was wanted on an outstanding warrant, on Notre Dame Street.
The man was arrested, and officers allegedly discovered the drugs and weapons during the subsequent search.
The man was arrested and held overnight. He was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday morning to face numerous charges.
The charges include possession of methamphetamine and marijuna for the purpose of trafficking, possession of hash, and three charges of possessing prohibited weapons which were a conducted electricity weapon, brass knuckles and a switch blade knife.
