Police say $14K worth of drugs seized in 2 busts this week
The Charlottetown Police Service says it has seized about $14,000 worth of illegal drugs after executing two residential searches this week.
The first search occurred at a Charlottetown home shortly before midnight on Tuesday. Police say crack cocaine, powdered cocaine, steroids, marijuana and scales with an estimated street value near $6,000 was seized.
Police say charges are pending against a 43-year-old Charlottetown resident in relation to that incident.
A second search just before 2 a.m. Wednesday has resulted in a drug possession for the purpose of trafficking charge against another Charlottetown man.
According to police, a search of a Hillsborough Park home netted cocaine, crack, ecstasy, oxycodone, speed and cash. Police say the estimated street value of the seized drugs is about $8,000.
