A man from eastern P.E.I. died Sunday night when his motorcycle left the road near Morell, according to RCMP.
The Morell Fire Department and Island EMS responded to the crash on Route 2, about one kilometre east of Morell.
No other vehicles were involved.
The 40-year-old driver, who was from Souris, died at the scene as a result of his injuries.
RCMP say the motorcycle was travelling west on Route 2 and failed to negotiate a curve to the right. It went off the road to the left and into a deep ditch.
A driver travelling east on Route 2 saw the accident and called 911 to report it.
