Actor best known for Jurassic Park, Independence Day, says he's looking forward to meeting festival comedians
Actor Jeff Goldblum is best known for his eccentric intellectual characters like "chaotician" Dr. Ian Malcolm in Jurassic Park, but the performer also moonlights as a jazz pianist and soon, gala host too.
He's coming to Montreal for an appearance at the Just For Laughs Festival next week.

He's not sure what jokes he'll tell yet during his gala, but has total confidence in the comedy writers at JFL.
"I think they're writing some jokes for me right now and I think it'll be amusing. I'm going to enjoy myself," Goldblum told CBC Montreal's Homerun.
The actor is no stranger to comedy, with appearances as quirky characters in director Wes Anderson's films as well as the Portlandia television show.
He said he's looking forward to seeing the other comedians and enjoying the festival while he's here.
This may be the first time Goldblum, 63, visits Montreal — he's not entirely sure. When asked if he'd ever visited he said, "Montreal? You know, that's a good question."
He is sure that he's looking forward to seeing the city for the few days he's here before returning to Los Angeles to prepare for the next Thor movie.
The Jeff Goldblum Gala is July 27 at 7 p.m. at Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier in Place des Arts.
