Improvements including changing to theatre seating
ACOA and the P.E.I. government announced funding Wednesday for The Guild in Charlottetown to improve its theatre facilities.
ACOA is providing a $43,083 grant from the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program and the province a $34,426 grant.
"The Guild … has long served as a resource for artists and arts organizations, providing office and performance rental space," said Charlottetown MP Sean Casey.
"Its successful theatre seasons have added to its importance as a key driver of our local economy."
The renovations will include changes to the seating structure in the 180-seat performance hall, improvements to the sound equipment and sound operator's booth, and renovations in the dressing rooms and storage areas.
