Track record shattered in Governor's Plate harness race

YS Lotus crosses the line in 1:51.4
YS Lotus was the winner in the 48th edition of the Governor's Plate harness race at Red Shores Summerside, P.E.I., on Saturday.
Marc Campbell drove YS Loto to a new track record of 1:51.4, 1.2 seconds faster than the previous record, and took the race by six lengths.
Two-time Governor's Plate champion DGs Camme came up second, with Jeb placing third.
YS Lotus is trained by Rene Allard, owned by Yves Sarrazin of La Presentation, Que., and is a regular at the Yonkers Raceway.
