Skateboard park shut down for 6 weeks while city’s recreation division makes upgrades
Regulars of the Kimble Skateboard Park in Fredericton will have to find other places to ride for the next six weeks, the city has announced.
The skateboard park closed to the public on Wednesday, as city crews began work on the park's upgrades.
The city's recreation division will be pouring a new concrete surface and adding obstacle components, among other upgrades.
Lucky for skateboarders, there are alternative places to ride.
The City of Fredericton's website advises riders to visit Northside Youth Centre at Willie O'Ree Place, Mitch Clarke Nasis Park or Henry Park.
